It combines mantra chanting with music and rhythm, with a profound effect on the emotional level. Kirtan has its roots in the Vedic tradition and is a &#8220;call and response&#8221; song type. The term kirtan means &#8220;narrate&#8221; or &#8220;describe&#8221; and refers to the repetition of melodic mantras, accompanied by musical instruments and the response of those present.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"font_8\"><span class=\"wixGuard\">\u200b<\/span><strong><span class=\"color_35\">Mantra means: &#8220;That which broadens the mind and perception.&#8221;<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p class=\"font_8\"><span class=\"color_24\">What is unique about kirtan: \u200b<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"font_8\"><span class=\"color_24\">The uniqueness of the kirtan lies in the creation of the vibration. Also, to tune in with the melody and the rhythm. To experience deep breathing and to unite our voices with the voices of others.
