On the occasion of Koten Roshi<\/strong> and Doiku Sensei<\/strong>‘s visit to Athens for the Spring Sesshin at Zen Center Athens, we are organizing an open event, so that those of you who will not be attending the Sesshin can get in direct contact with these important teachers.<\/p>\n

The event will take place on Tuesday, May 16 at 19:00.<\/strong>
\nIt will be a 1.5 hour talk on Zen, during which in addition to the practical part of the teaching on zazen meditation, there will be time for questions and discussion with the teachers. The talk will be in Japanese with simultaneous translation into English. Please be at the venue 15 minutes before the talk begins.<\/p>\n

Registration is not required.<\/p>\n

Koten Inoue Roshi<\/strong> is the abbot of Soto Zen Saikenji Temple and teaches at Hosshinji Zen Monastery. Born in 1944 in Takahara near Hiroshima, he became a monk in 1959 in Fukui under the guidance of Zen Master, Sekkei Harada. He received the title of Zen Master in 2004 and began visiting Greece and teaching the Zen Center Athens Sangha in 2014.<\/p>\n
